PRP Autos, based in Coventry, had seen great success over the last two decades working in automotive servicing and repair. To secure its future success and maintain a competitive edge, the business partners Paul Pargetter and Terry Burgess implemented a number of measures to provide new revenue streams and offer a renewed service and image for customers.
This included both investing in the latest testing equipment to become an MOT testing station, and making a staff member responsible for maintaining general upkeep and cleanliness of the site – which has been very important in ensuring they are viewed as a professional organisation and attracting footfall from potential customers.
Another integral step in its development was its membership to Motaquip’s Dedicated Garage Programme. By joining the programme, the team benefited from a wealth of help and advice on marketing their garage. In particular, the team at PRP Autos was looking to give the exterior of the garage a fresh look and update its branding throughout the business. Support and a range of marketing tools from Motaquip including signage templates and design helped them produce a colour scheme which was used throughout the company to make them easily identifiable to customers and update the signage at the site. This ensured they had a strong brand identity to attract new business and to reflect the professional service offered by the garage.
Terry comments on the business’ makeover: “The main aim of our makeover was to bring the garage up to date and bring a fresh look to our business. We now have a colour scheme throughout the business including new uniforms and signage which enhances our professional image ensuring we continue to attract customers, old and new. Previously the team would all wear different clothing, but now they’re recognisable to customers. These enhancements to our appearance and branding have been crucial as the current economic climate means customers are demanding great service at the best possible value and it is so important for us to ensure we sell ourselves in every possible way, from our exterior appearance to the service we offer.”
